Hi this personal web-blog belongs to Menaka, I am an actor by profession. I actively maintain this personal food blog called 'My Foodbook' on Facebook, which has been running since 2011. 

 

My posts discuss my thoughts on the various foods that I encounter wherever I travel -- from New Delhi to Kerala to Mumbai and abroad. I document not only food critiques about restaurants, but also street food and home cooked food. 

 

My posts tend to be written in a personal style, where I discuss my connection to the food, and sometimes I also write about the global history of the regional foods that I experience. My greatest inspirations, among many, many others, are television hosts Anthony Bourdain, Kylie Kwong, Rocky & Mayur. 

 

I worked on a food show for a television channel based in India -- as an online researcher, where my job entailed researching the history of food as well as food from the kitchens of royal families in India. 

 

I also wrote for an online site called www.nextstop.com about my personal and culinary experiences at various travel destinations, where I was featured as a “Top 50” most followed contributor.
